Meet Our Team
Shawn Jennings, C.E.O.
Mr. Jennings established REAL House Inc. in 2004, as an emergency shelter and residential treatment facility. It is through his commitment that REAL House Inc. has become a leader in providing top quality residential and outpatient treatment services. In less than a decade, he has expanded REAL HOUSE Inc. throughout Essex County, NJ. Currently REAL House has 5 facilities, servicing more than 100 clients annually. It is slated to open a sixth facility in Union County.
Prior to establishing REAL House, Mr. Jennings worked in Finance. He began his career at IBM as an Internal Accountant. He then turned his keen business sense on Wall Street serving as an Equities Trader at ESI, which became a subsidiary of Bank of New York. He went on to become Vice President of Institutional Sales for Udentadl Capital Partners.
He later formed Montclair Asset Management and served as its President and C.E.O.
Jennings is also a partner in BFM Holdings Inc., a real estate investment company.
He is active in his community coaching youth basketball. Jennings serves on the boards of the Red Cross, Yogi Berra Museum and Essex Valley High School.
Shawn Jennings holds a B.S. in Finance and Insurance from Northeastern University.
Wally Choice, C.F.O.
Mr. Choice first became associated with REAL House Inc. serving on the Board of Directors. In 2010 he became the Chief Financial Officer, overseeing the financial matters of the organization and assisting in securing new funding.
Wally Choice’s experience in finance spans three decades. He began his career working as a Senior Financial Analyst for a medical division of Johnson & Johnson Inc. While at J&J, he opened a retail service business that was sold after 20 profitable years in 2006.
Wally Choice is also a partner in BFM Holdings Inc., a real estate investment firm. His expertise as a real estate investor has been instrumental in selecting prime facility locations for REAL House Inc.
Choice is the President of Million Man Montclair, a community service organization that has prepared and served 7,000 meals to senior citizens and the disabled, over the past 16 years.
He sits on the Board of Directors of Homecorp, a non-profit affordable housing agency. He is also the Board Treasurer for the Montclair Child Development Corporation, a nonprofit agency that provides Head Start and educational services to a number of municipalities in Essex County.
Wally A. Choice is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Finance.
Aalia Robinson, Operations Manager
Aalia Robinson has been with the agency since its formation. She has grown with the organization and has been instrumental in the development of every program. Her calm demeanor allows her to masterfully coordinate and manage the administrative and contractual duties of REAL House Inc. Her knowledge and experience contributes to the outstanding services provided to the clients.
Ann Jennings, Manager Human Resources
Ann Jennings has been part of the REAL House team since its inception. As Manager of Human Resources she oversees all employee related services.
Reuben Febres, LCADC Clinical Director, REAL House Inc. Halfway House
Mr. Febres' career began in Peru where he worked for various residential treatment facilities and as an Intern for an outpatient facility. He received training in Therapeutic Communities from Day Top International in Peru in 1997. Later he received a scholarship to intern for Day Top's locations in the United States, specifically New York and New Jersey.
He has been a Psychotherapist for Metropolitan’s Mental Health outpatient unit in New York. He has also served a Substance Abuse Counselor for Damon House, working with Drug Court Clients. Febres' was also the Clinical Director for Suburban Treatment Associates, a methadone maintenance treatment program.
Febres' is a graduate of Universidad de San Martin de Porres, in Lima, Peru. He holds a License in Psychology (equivalent to a U.S. Master's degree in Psychology).
Executive Programs Director
Martyse Strychacz is a graduate of Mercy College, New York with a B.S. in Behavioral Sciences and a B.A. in Psychology. She is certified as a HIV/AIDS pre-test and post-test Counselor bu the New York State Board of Health and has also been awarded certification in Substance Abuse Counseling by the New York State Department of Education.
